...A bit more than a "typo".....you'd be surprised as to how many people
actually think "commerative" is a word. Several years ago, when I was actively
pursuing modern gold commems, I would actually do an eBay search for that

As an experiment, I walked into a local B&M place today that seems to
specialize in gold and silver. I plonked down $10 worth of 40% halves and
asked his buying price. After a diligent look at his computer, he said "Fifty
dollars." "Fifty dollars!" I exclaimed, barely keeping from laughing. "I think

Error note? - 1 new

I was shown a 1993 $1 FRN that was around 10% smaller than a normal note.
Nothing was cut off and it was well centered. And it was a star note. My
instinct says it was fake, very heavily worn like it went thru a washing
machine to give it a well-circulated look. so it was hard to detect any fibers.
searched for any similar type error notes without success. - Fri, Mar 4 2011
