Mon Feb 15, 2:01 pm ET SANTIAGO (Reuters) - Chile's mint has sacked its
managing director after he sent into circulation thousands of coins bearing an
incorrect spelling of the country's name. The 50-peso coins, worth around 10 U.
S. cents each, were issued in 2008 with Chile spelled "Chiie" -- an error that
was only noticed late last year. - Tues, Feb 16 2010 6:12 am

I got a toned AU/BU 1923 Peace dollar today. The interesting thing about it is
that has a circular counterstamp on the reverse "Camp David Peace Summit, Sept
6-17 1978" with the names Carter, Sadat and Begin withing that. Anyone know
the background of this coin? - Tues, Feb 16 2010 1:04 pm

...Sad but true that some value a piece of paper in a plastic tomb over their
very own eyes. That said, many AG-3s sell for $500 - $700 these days which
probably killed a sale of the coin through eBay considering the original
asking price. - Tues, Feb 16 2010 6:01 pm
