This article makes one false statement, it is not illegal to metal detect in
all cemeteries. You can actually get permission from care takers and some
cemeteries don't even require that. You might also want to check with your
state laws. I think the only thing most - Tues, Oct 13 2009 11:53 pm

Julian Leidman is a member of another group I frequent, and I agree James he
is a good guy and I hope he is able recover all of his inventory/collection.
My only question is why did he not put the items in the trunk? - Wed, Oct 14

...Thanks for the link. The post on Collectors Universe is from Dennis Tucker,
a publisher with Whitman. If he was impressed with the presentation, then it
was serious. I note also in that post that Dr. Dubay's categorization of
Chinese fakes is implemented in the new Professional Edition of The Red Book. -

...Yep, that particular stamp gets used more than it should be. It was on a
package that took 14 months to arrive at my doorstep. The package had a
tracking number, so I knew that it took 2 days to get from the west coast to
my local PO, and then more than a year to go the last 3 miles. Go figure! -

...Why are so many of the pictures taken with different cameras, backgrounds,
and lighting, including some that were obviously taken from the "Great
Southern Coins" listings? This makes it look like all the pictures are "
borrowed" and that the auctions are scams. - Wed, Oct 14 2009 6:35 am

Does anyone know? I found a 1981 quarter with a large S stamped beside the
back of George Washington's head. Can you tell me if it is a misprint or a
special quarter or did someone deliberately stamp it that way? Thank you. -
