Best current grading service - 7 new

Hello. I use to be heavily involved in coin collecting long ago but slowly
moved away from the hobby. I sold most of my stuff but kept a few favorites. I
have an 1877 Indian Head cent that is probably VG8 or 10 condition and is
problem free..I would like to get it professionaly graded and encapsulated so
it will be easier to sell on Ebay one day - Thurs, Mar 19 2009 4:43 am

Proposal: group purchase of 2009 Lincoln cent rolls - 1 new
-----------------------------------------------------------
...Some of the US Mint Wrapper roll sets, such as the early state quarters,
have gone up in value, esp. when the boxes are still sealed. But it is a
gamble since other roll sets have gone down in value. I bought a set of WV
rolls for $19.60 + shipping a couple months ago. I do plan to buy the four
Lincoln Cent roll sets this year when I am - Thurs, Mar 19 2009 11:44 am

Brandenburg-Bayreuth Experts? - 4 new
-------------------------------------
I recently bought a collection of world coins that included a large number of
coins from the German State Brandenburg-Bayreuth, and a few from Brandenburg-
Ansbach, mostly from 1698-1714. I don't have a reference that goes back that
far. Anyone out there know about this realm of collecting? If so, I would like

Of the eBay accepted coin graders (PCGS; NGC; ANACS; ICG) do you find that
some are better for a certain series of coins than their competitors? Of
course, for Canadian coins I prefer ICCS. - Thurs, Mar 19 2009 1:45 pm

...The UHR isn't a proof, but taking off one side of the capsule while wearing
cotton gloves made it clear that it was indeed on the plastic as suspected.
With my aging eyes, that was infinitely easier than trying to see parallax or
shadows through a 10x loupe. Thanks for the suggestions! - Thurs, Mar 19 2009

An Owl for Anka - 1 new

About this Owl: [link] What can be said about it, with assurance, is "Fake,
fake, fake, fake, fake." Other things: It's a curious fake. From its photo, it
does indeed appear to be an attractive, and authentic, pre-Salamis archaic Owl,
c. 490-482 BC, Sear 1842. In hand, it appears originally engraved rather -
