perfect modern proof coins are VERY common, and the sellers of those slabs

FS: Proof Sets, Mints Sets, Modern Commemoratives - 2 new
---------------------------------------------------------
I've purchased a number of collections in the past month or two, and have
accumulated a Way Too Big Pile of Modern Cr*p for my normal inventory needs.
With Christmas approaching (and no show on my schedule until the end of
January ...), I thought that maybe some r.c.c'ers might want to pick up some
of these for present - Wed, Dec 3 2008 12:30 am

Submitted my first "forgery report" on ebay - 6 new

At first glance, it looks a very nice real coin. Then I noticed the mint mark
wasnt what it should be - M for Mexico (N is for Columbia). Of course, looking
it up, its rarer than a 1804 US Dollar. Hard work to be able to report it as a
forgery however. [link] - Wed, Dec 3 2008 1:26 am

Ultra high relief coin sees first strike at West Point - 1 new
--------------------------------------------------------------
It's an indication of the poor quality of coin design and engraving that's
around now when this coin is a reproduction of a very old design. This applies
to every country in the world and not just the USA, modern coin designs are
dreadful when compared to those of as little as 50 years ago. The ultra high
relief is interesting and should make them popular with - Wed, Dec 3 2008 2:32

Obama coins are not an investment - 2 new
-----------------------------------------
...Dang! I've just invested in 10,000 of them. :-) They will be hawked heavily
in the newspapers and magazines no doubt. The Churchill Crown was suggested as
being a good investment in the UK coin mags back in 1965/66 but they will
never be worth the buying power they had when originally issued never mind
anything above that. I have just one got - Wed, Dec 3 2008 2:47 am

...No, the United States "empire" is not a continuation of the British Empire.
The people of the United States do not call themselves "British." A better
analogy would be what would become of Canada if Quebec separates. You could
argue that "Canada" originally meant a French speaking country on the St.
